About Me

My Story

Hi, I’m Nick Holland and I’m an independent funeral celebrant providing bespoke funeral ceremonies across South Yorkshire. That means I work in Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster, and I can provide religious, non-religious or semi-religious ceremonies.

As well as being a funeral celebrant, I’m a published writer and the author of five critically acclaimed non-fiction books including “In Search Of Anne Brontë” and “The Real Guy Fawkes”. I’ve given talks at literary festivals across the United Kingdom and beyond, and have appeared as an expert on television documentaries including “Brontë’s Britain With Gyles Brandreth” and “The Gunpowder Plot: Countdown To Treason.”

This means that I’m a highly experienced public speaker, and that I can create truly bespoke eulogies which provide fitting tributes that family and friends will love. I can also provide personalised poems as part of my standard service. The next of kin will also receive a commemorative copy of the service, and I can also provide memorial websites and even memorial books or newspapers as additional and everlasting tributes.

Whether you’re a funeral director or an individual looking to organise a funeral service for a loved one, contact me today to find out how I can help you.
