Grief affects all who lose a loved one, and it affects us all in different ways and at different times. That’s why it’s so important to allow your grief to be what it needs to be, and to support, and be there for, others who are grieving.
Sometimes we may need a little extra help, and it’s important that we don’t shy away from it or feel ashamed because of it. For some people, grief and bereavement therapy may be a vital step on the road through grief.
My wife Yvette Holland is a highly experienced therapist who provides one to one grief and bereavement holistic therapy sessions from her premises in South Yorkshire. Yvette says: “Our holistic therapy can help you reconnect with comforting memories of the person you have lost. This often brings a sense of closeness, appreciation, and peace, rather than focusing on the pain of separation. These approaches can help the subconscious mind access a sense of comfort, strength, or continuity. Rather than revisiting difficult emotions, the focus is on nurturing inner resources and supporting you to carry your grief in a way that feels more manageable.
The aim is never to move you too quickly or suggest you “let go” but rather help you to explore the possibility of carrying your grief alongside growth, peace, or strength. While each person’s grief journey is unique, there are strategies that can help individuals cope. While there is no universal roadmap to navigate grief, seeking support and exploring various therapeutic avenues, can offer valuable tools for healing and finding solace amidst the pain of loss.”
